The Band Toto Asia
Toto expanded its production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for bidet and washlet toilet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto documented Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read them. Many words were replaced with foreign ones. For instance dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was used.
Origins
Toto's early history which began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan's economic expansion. In the early years of its existence, the company made goods to meet demand for modern and contemporary urban housing. It had the first tunnel kilns in the country to continuously produce ceramics. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, allowing for greater efficiency and consistency.

In the late 1980s the company began to expand overseas to profit from sales and new markets. It launched the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other products from other manufacturers to complement its own range of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and increased the company's market share.
In the 1990s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development of water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve customers and improve profit. The company used the same just-in-time approach to its supply chain management as well as sales program. This resulted in a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto continues to invent toilet technology. Its most recent toilet, for example is equipped with an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more environmentally friendly than traditional toilets. The company also uses recycled water in its production process and has a green purchasing policy. Toto also manufactures bathtubs, faucets, and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than standard models.
The first museum of the company was opened in the year 2015 It has exhibits on Toto's most iconic products and their evolution as well as its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum houses a bathroom with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.
Before beginning the formation of Toto members of the group performed sessions with various musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You would expect a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog band however it's actually a fairly straight forward rock outfit. The group began as a group and released two albums - 1979's self titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their biggest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, but not without its share of issues. The record companies put the band under pressure to deliver the top single or else they would pull them. Toto was able achieve this feat with the help of the smash hit "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before forming the group, the band members worked as session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the standard for the '80s, and has influenced many contemporary artists.
The album begins hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. The album also features jazzier, slower tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that mixes folk with distorted AOR and sounds totally wrong, but works amazingly well.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes took a turn towards the negative. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career. The band had a variety of drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The group managed to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloying than on previous efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a set of two CDs entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. 토토사이트 추천 was released a few months later, and the band embarked on an extensive world tour to promote it. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to find songs that had never been recorded before. It was completed as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band without one single track titled "A". The album also contained an previously unreleased track "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from a severe laryngitis infection which hampered his singing. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia were in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be reformed. This lineup, minus Howe (who was a member of Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin.
